The Voidstar

What it is

The Voidstar is a leaderboard boss-rush planet sitting in the third swiper slot of the planet roster. It is the first leaderboard-style planet on the roster, meaning the hub surfaces a leaderboard and tier rewards in place of the standard challenge list and per-planet progress bar. The planet runs without atmosphere or grace period — full enemy pressure starts at T-0 — and uses the bug enemy set against a doubled enemy-count multiplier in the Voidstar Abyss level layout. The boss encounter at the run timer’s zero mark is Cenotaph.

Fog overlay alpha0.0 (no atmospheric fog)
Enemy count multiplier2.0× (double pressure)
Spawn grace period (seconds)0 (instant full pressure)
Shadow offset multiplier1.0×
Buildings allowedNo
Crate density (0–100)40
Debris density (0–100)14

Three settings define the Voidstar’s pressure curve and make it the hardest planet on the roster: enemy count is doubled relative to baseline, there is no spawn grace period (spawners hit full pressure the instant the run starts), and buildings are disallowed (no defensive structure placement is available during the run). Atmospheric fog opacity is 0 — the planet renders against a clean void background instead of a noise overlay. The bug enemy set (orb, charger, shooter, mortar archetypes) is the same archetype mix used by the Landing Site, but the 2.0× count multiplier and zero grace window apply on top.

Mastering track rewards

The Voidstar is a leaderboard planet — the hub surfaces a leaderboard and tier rewards in place of the standard challenge list and per-planet progress bar. The 10-level reward track defined in planet-progression.ts still exists in data for The Voidstar (built via the same template as every other planet), but per-planet pages should not assume those rewards drive the hub display the same way they do on non-leaderboard planets. The reward names and global buff below are recorded for completeness; the hub UI for The Voidstar substitutes leaderboard + tier rewards as its primary progression surface.

All XP thresholds below are cumulative totals against the 2.0× baseline multiplier.

Base run XP for completing any run on The Voidstar is 20 — the highest base run XP on the roster (vs. 10 for baseline planets and 15 for Sunrise City). The mastering track is per-planet — XP earned here does not progress other planets’ tracks.

Mission posting reference

Mission postings reference this planet by numeric ID 3. The hub mission board surfaces postings tagged for The Voidstar alongside its planet card in the swiper. See mission-postings for the per-posting catalog and missions for mission flow.
