Old Earth
What it is
Old Earth is the seventh planet in the hub swiper order — a dark, ruined world themed around sniper pressure on the bug enemy family. It uses a dedicated old-earth biome (dirty ground, topographic latitude-longitude grid overlay, square buildings) with its own ruins-style level preset, applies the dark post-processing mastering preset, and ends with the Ringmaster boss at the run timer’s zero mark. The planet has a 10-level mastering track gated by per-planet XP at the unmodified baseline grind rate (1.0× multiplier, marked in source as a placeholder pending tuning).

The bugs_sniper enemy-set variant biases the planet’s hazard mix toward sniper archetypes — long-range single-shot pressure that punishes standing still and rewards line-of-sight breaking around the ruins terrain. Spawn pressure ramps to full after a 1-second grace window; enemy count stays at the standard 1.0× multiplier (no double-pressure modifier). Fog overlay is moderate at 0.25 — the heaviest of the dark-mode planets in the post-baseline roster, sitting between Solaris/Eden-5 and the cleaner late-game worlds.
