What it is

A defensive mod template that boosts a ship’s survivability by adding to its max hull, max shield, and incoming-damage reduction at the same time. It is one of twelve archetypes available to the global Mod Grid.

How it fits

The 3×3 solid footprint is the largest rectangle any mod uses, so this template eats nine grid cells on whichever ship equips it. That tradeoff buys a three-axis defensive boost — raw hull is its dominant axis, the shield bump is modest, and the flat damage-reduction value scales aggressively because it applies to every hit. It pairs naturally with ships that already have moderate hull and want to push survivability further, but the grid footprint forces tough placement decisions on smaller ships.
